Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When you type a name, place, or other query into a search tool, that request is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Fulton County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the request under its own privacy policy and terms.
Emails and Other Messages
If you send an email or use a contact form, we keep the message and the contact details it contains long enough to review and answer it. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, court order, or another valid legal process.
Technical Information Collected
Ordinary server, analytics, and security systems may record limited technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- The internet protocol address associated with the request
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time of each request
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies may help measure site use, remember basic settings, support advertising, and identify technical problems. You can block or remove cookies through browser controls. Some site or partner features may work differently when cookies are disabled.
Reasons We Use Information
Information is used only for practical site and service purposes. These uses include:
- Operating the site and maintaining reasonable speed
- Sending search requests to the selected partner service
- Learning which Fulton County record pages visitors find useful
- Diagnosing errors, abuse, and security issues
- Displaying advertising that may reflect general interests
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links may lead to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County Jail information, Indiana MyCase, the Indiana Department of Correction, federal locators, news outlets, or third-party search providers. Once you follow a link, the destination’s privacy policy controls its collection and use of information. We do not set those outside practices.
Advertising companies may use their own cookies or similar technology to recognize activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs through their systems, not through a Fulton County government records system operated here.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be made available to:
- Search partners that process a query you submit
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
How Information Is Secured
We use reasonable, commonly accepted safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website, transmission method, or internet-connected storage system can be guaranteed breach-proof. Information sent online is therefore provided with the understanding that absolute security is not possible.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the information actually held, you may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information retained about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information where an erasure right applies
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
These requests concern data controlled by this site. Fulton County, the sheriff, Indiana courts, IDOC, and outside providers maintain their own records and request procedures. Indiana public records held by government offices are governed separately, including by the Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as site practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here and will show an updated effective date where one is provided.
